FURIOUS Hull City fans are to take legal action if West Yorkshire Police go ahead with plans to force them to travel to Huddersfield on official coaches.

The Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) has received more than 100 emails since West Yorkshire Police announced Tigers’ fans would have to travel to the derby on official coaches from the city.

The match was originally set for 12.30pm on March 30, but kick-off has now been changed to 5.20pm because the match is to be televised on Sky Sports.

Amanda Jacks, director of case work for the FSF, which represents the rights of fans in England and Wales, said: “The amount of emails from Hull City fans has been unprecedented – it is the most we have ever received. The emails are from ordinary, decent, law-abiding families.

“We’ve had emails from supporters who are travelling from Spain and Norway to the game, whose plans have been scuppered because they have got to go to Hull to pick up an official coach.

“There are also fans who live in Huddersfield who are having to go to Hull to pick up a coach to take them back to Huddersfield.

“A client has spoken to a solicitor. Legal action is a serious step and is a last resort.

“I hope we can come up with an amicable resolution.”

Hull City fans face ticket restrictions after Huddersfield match moved for Sky Sports

Hull City have been allocated 1,500 tickets for the Championship clash at the John Smith’s Stadium, which can hold 4,000 away fans.

West Yorkshire Police argue the sanctions are needed for public safety.

The same fixture at the KC Stadium earlier this season passed without incident.

Superintendent Ged McManus, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “We have asked for these restrictions to enable us to control the amount of fans attending the match and reduce the level of alcohol consumption, therefore decreasing any risk to the wider public in Huddersfield and reducing the cost of policing such a match for West Yorkshire residents.”

According to figures released by the FSF in the whole of last season, not one Hull fan was arrested for an alcohol-related offence.

Andy Dalton, editor of the Amber Nectar fanzine, has missed just two away games in 13 years.

He said: “It is up to every individual, but I won’t be going to Huddersfield with these restrictions in place. It is the principle.

“What sort of message does it send out about West Yorkshire Police’s view of us?

“City fans have behaved impeccably this season, yet West Yorkshire Police appear to regard us as nothing but potential hooligans, fit only to have our numbers and movements heavily restricted.”

West Yorkshire Police tried to impose similar sanctions in 2005 when City played Leeds at Elland Road, but the decision was eventually over-ruled.

Nick Thompson, Hull City’s managing director, said: “Every opportunity to negotiate a better deal for our fans has been taken.”

“Regarding the Australian swimmers Alantf Stilnox is not a banned drug on the olympic list. It is however bannedby the AOC. They are very strict in Australia. Is it banned bythe British ""O""'ly'''''''''''''”

“Sorry Alantf, am having a bit of trouble with my computer. I do not know if Jason Clare is a good minister or not, but i do know a lot of media people want to talk to him, but he has mysteriously vanished. As for Mr John Fahey he is singing out of a new hymn book now. Something along the lines of innuendo, no proof.”

    “StuPhil,

Perhaps I am just a half-wit, who is able to Google for a broader return of information, but all of this is from your elected/appointed representatives and although they still speak in general terms there does seem to be a very damning level of research and evidence upholding the claims. We can only believe what we are told and I believe that Justin Clare is one of your elected representatives? Or do you out rank him?

Or, perhaps, this other source from your country is nonsense too?

Here's one of your own rags:

Do I need to go on? Read these, do your own research and you will find it is not me besmirching (wonderful word) your sportsmen and women, but your own internal ministers, sports bodies and independently appointed investigative board.

You see the actual issue was that you choose to look outward at your disowned country and you choose to judge us, but when the boot's on tuther foot . . .

. . . I don't judge all your sportsmen and women, as I have a fair more rational approach than you; I suppose you could be counted as unlucky that you picked up your stone just as you entered the glass house!”

“Ric Strummer.......Good to hear you got fixed up in something you like doing. Your past experience in music and with the band will end up with the kids wanting you to be their Mentor.
My 2 nephews got paid off in Hull as well...one from the Game Shop in Princes Quay and the other from Comet at St Andrews Dock retail park....both had given over 12 years loyal service.
Now on benefits, I wonder how long it will be before the Government will condsider them as 'Scroungers'.
Still attending 'Spoons' every Wednesday with my son....making up for lost time...be good if you can make it.
Ps....It would have good to meet up with the guy from Scarborough but he is too busy ****ging off everybody on here....typical 21st Ave Kid.
    Pss....Did you get your Ukele?...LOL.....UTT!”

    “Hi Jack (no pun intended).

I was gonna nip through a couple of weeks ago but something cropped up at the last minute.I haven't been in Tennents since November, sales have dropped so they bumped all the agency workers,I got work up to x.mas then had to 'sign-on',did that for a month and binned that!!!

I'm now studying music and sound production at Cumbernauld College,a dozen 16-20 year olds and me...I'm like a fish out of water age-wise but I come in useful when they need guitar beds on their mixing projects.

ANYWAY,I get Weds and Thurs off every week so I will get through in the very near future.14 miles is nothing,as Al Jolson once crooned "I'd walk a million miles for one of your smiles" LOL”

    “Cafe Society1
    .

"Stum-are you Charles Bronson? Why would I want to meet you?
A couple of years ago there were a lot more posters on this site than there is now .who enjoyed football talk mixed with banter and humour. Some of them went on to meeting each other face to face at the KC shop prior to game.
A few months ago I met Strummer for the first time at lunchtime in Wotherspoons Falkirk and we enjoyed a couple of hours talking Tigers
First impression.....yes....he did resemble Charles Bronson but taller...typical of the normal punter from Driffield.(LOL)
He found out that i had spent a lifetime supervising career criminals, murderers, rapist and well known gangsters from all over Scotland.
Strummer is non of these....neither is he a racist!. He is just a normal guy who likes his football and would love to get down more often to see the Tigers.
Anybody, that was prepared to journey 14 miles just to meet up for a couple of hours chat with me was quite a gesture and I greatly appreciated him making the effort.
The only difference between us was 'AGE'...but it didn't matter.
I don't post so often now because of the constant *****ing on the site, but there are still several individuals on here who use the site for the right purpose.....UTT!

“Alantf another halfwit that belittles all Australian Sportswomen/ men. Can all you fair minded people google drugs in Australian sport. Not one sportsperson has been charged with anything, and the Federal police have not laid any charges . Why Alantf. Maybe because the Government wanted to divert attention from the Independent Commission against corruption. Sports clubs are about to sue the Federal Minister for sport. Alantf if you want to besmirch Australian sportsmen/women do some homework.”

“Just read the story in the Huddersfield paper, I think there is no doubt now we are living in a police state. How they can dictate which games sky can or carnt screen is beyond belief and the fact that Huddersfield could suffer a points deduction for breach of contract is unbelievable this whole situation is something that really needs challenging at a very high level.”
