"I've got no regrets about my time at United. Obviously I wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I'd always work my hardest and try and get on the ball," he told Radio Sheffield.

"I hope I did everyone proud and I'm just looking forward to a new start with Hull now."

Quinn was entering the final year of his contract at Sheffield United.

The 26-year-old made more than 200 appearances for the Blades and scored 20 goals.

Bruce has been keen to strengthen in the centre of the park after losing Tom Cairney to injury and Paul McKenna to suspension in Tuesday's cup match at Doncaster.

Cairney said today he was facing three months on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Tigers winger Cameron Stewart could be on his way to Burnley.

“elmohamady will make us stronger and Steve Quinn is quality,as stated he has ran our midfield ragged on many occasions,he,s a good age and a very hungry player, who can also weigh in with goals.
could be the end for Corry Evans,as Quinn is far better, and not surprised to see Cameron Stewart go,he just is not strong enough in the body and mind, yes lots of talent, but to make it at the top,you need much more than that, could be a bit of home sickness too,on this side of the pennines.
just because you come through man utd junior ranks, doesn't mean you will make it,but good luck Cameron Stewart in the future, where ever it lies.
a tough game tomorrow,I'm hoping for a win,but can see a draw, until fryatt is back,we will not be firing on all cylinders.UTT.”
