Hull City owner Assem Allam invests in North Ferriby United

North Ferriby United have confirmed that Hull City owner Assem Allam has thrown his financial support behind the non-league club.

Ferriby are currently flying high at the top of the EvoStik Premier Division on the back of what they say is a "significant" investment from the Egyptian millionaire.

It comes in the wake of a difficult two years when the club struggled to attract sponsorship and was facing a significant financial shortfall.
