Hull City's Robbie Brady and David Meyler get a run out in Ireland defeat
ROBBIE Brady could have scored in a first-half run out as the Republic of Ireland saw Jose Holebas’ lone strike secure a 1-0 win for Greece at the Aviva Stadium.
The Olympiacos midfielder struck after 29 minutes, turning John O’Shea to fire into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Ireland had chances of their own with Tigers loan man Brady and James McCarthy forcing saves from Orestis Karnezis.
But with Brady replaced by Norwich’s Wes Hoolahan at half-time, Giovanni Trapattoni’s youthful side could not find a way back into the game.
