Hull City's Tom Cairney, Cameron Stewart and Liam Rosenior taking part in reserves run-out at Grimsby Town
HULL City were today set to send a strong reserves team to face Grimsby Town as manager Steve Bruce considers his options ahead of this Saturday's clash with Birmingham City at the KC Stadium.
The game could see a number of players who have featured regularly under Bruce this season starting the contest and handed their chance to impress.

Hul City's Tom Cairney
Having been angered by City's heavy 4-1 loss at Bolton on Saturday, Bruce is pondering making changes for the arrival of his former club this weekend.
Tom Cairney and Liam Rosenior, both substitutes at the Reebok Stadium last weekend, look to be the two with the best chance of staking a claim with a solid performance.

Out-of-favour winger Cameron Stewart, who has spent time on loan at Burnley this season, will also be looking to impress to push his way into contention for the final 12 games.
Goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic also has a chance to impress after being consigned to the sidelines since David Stockdale's return on loan from Fulham last month. Given Stockdale's error for Bolton's second goal last week, a solid display could again put him back in Bruce's thoughts.
Today's game will also see a return to action for young defender Danny East, who has been out with a back injury he suffered on loan at Northampton.
But Egyptian utility man Ahmed Fathi is not expected to feature in this afternoon's clash (2pm) as he continues to concentrate on building his fitness on the training ground following his loan from Al Ahly.
In a busy day for the Tigers, the youth team will then be in action just hours later at North Ferriby's ground when they take on Leicester City in the FA Youth Cup (7pm).
