Hull City sign Sunderland's David Meyler on loan
HULL City have completed a deal to sign Sunderland midfielder David Meyler on loan until January.
As reported by the Mail, the Tigers re-ignited their interest in Meyler this week when making an enquiry to Sunderland.

Sunderland's David Meyler has joined Hull City.
Martin O’Neill has subsequently given his approval to the loan and the 23-year-old will be in line to face Cardiff on Saturday.
Meyler’s signature completes a protracted pursuit from City boss Steve Bruce.

The Cork-born midfielder was initially targeted in the summer only for the Tigers’ advances to be rebuffed.
Bruce is a huge admirer of Meyler and hopes the full Republic of Ireland international will add a physical edge to the City midfield.
Meyler becomes the second loan signing of the week after Robbie Brady arrived from Manchester United and joins Sunderland team-mate Ahmed Elmohamady at the KC Stadium.

“I'm puzzled why El Steve hasn't yet added the final piece to the jigsaw. If he is fit and available, Fraizer Campbell has to be the next signing. Certainly Aluko and Simpson are on song - but injuries and the paucity of current options up front means we will struggle with abstractions or injuries. FC will put more bums on seats and set the divison on fire again. We are a diamond ring with a missing stone. Get some more sparkle in up front Steve and your Tiger Sainthood will be but a formality. Sir Steven Bruce. Nice ring to it!!!!”

“Just need to get Frazier Campbell on loan, then it's business completed until January!
I'd rather go for Fraizer Campbell to be honest!”

“besides the work in progress, prochtwitz,Steve Bruce signings have been very good, ill trust his judgement as i also think we have a lot of decent midfield players already here.
I'm thinking we need another striker, with the loss of fryatt and probably alukos departure to African nations in January, will we have enough goals in us ? UTT.”

“I raise my hat to the Allems. Steve Bruce may be getting most of the credit for his experience and knowledge in signing the right players, but nothing would have been possible without financial support.
What we can now be sure of is that the Allems are 'going for it'. What a great lesson for Ehab from a great and wise man.
Sit down Brucie, I do not mean you!!!.”

“FAO of SnotHillBaz - did you know that the Republic of Ireland made enquiries re Frazier Campbell at one time too? Apparently he qualifies to play for ROI, presumably on a grandparent rule. So he must be the inevitable next signing for Hull City!!!!!”

“Well along with Meyler, McShane, Brady, Quinn our club song should be When Oirish Oiys Are Smoiling! Well lets hope so come the end of the season.
I understand that Meyler is one heck of a player, great to have competition of this level in midfield.
Just need to get Frazier Campbell on loan, then it's business completed until January! Unless we get an Irish striker too!”
