Hull City target Paul Coutts has class to be a Premier League player
MIDFIELDER Paul Coutts is a Premier League player in the making if Hull City can prise him away from Preston.
That’s the verdict of former Hull City boss Phil Brown, who managed the tough tackler in his time at Deepdale.

Paul Coutts in action for Preston
The 23-year-old is high on Steve Bruce’s summer hit list at the Tigers, with a fee of around £400,000 believed to be the asking price.
And Brown, who managed at the League One side for 11 months before his dismissal in December, believes he could be a bargain.
A full head colour or 1/2 head highlights, luxury Redken treatment, cut & blowdry for JUST £40 (Save £25) or upgrade to a full head of highlights for JUST £50 (Save £35). Add a spray tan for JUST £10.

“Paul is a cracking player and at the moment he’s playing in a level that’s beneath him,” he told the Mail.
“The Championship is certainly not beyond him and I think he could go even further.
“He plays in central midfield but can also go right or left as well and he would bring bags of energy to any side.
“It’s a no-brainer for me and he would be a great acquisition for Hull City.”
A former Scotland under-21 international, Coutts has earned a reputation as a no-nonsense enforcer because of on-field disciplinary problems in the past.
But Brown can’t envisage any problem with him fitting into Bruce’s future plans at the KC Stadium.
“The disciplinary aspect is no problem at all,” he added.
“He’s a lad who had a point to prove after he came down from Scotland and I saw no problem in the way he played the game.
“He’s got that confidence and belief that you need and I’m sure Steve Bruce would get the best out of him in the Championship.
“The lad has a great career ahead of him and I was very impressed with him when I was at Preston. I think Paul has all the attributes of a Premier League player of the future.”
• CITY will play Norwich in a friendly at the KC Stadium on August 7 (7.45pm).

“Hey op! Is Mr Coutts a direct replacement for Robbie Koren who is a target for Leicester who have, according to Sky Sports news, tabled a bid of £500.000 for his services. I doubt for one minute the Allams will let Koren go for that pittance, and I doubt Stevie Bruce would want him to go without taking aproper look at him. But on the otherhand, it does beg the question, why are we looking at midfielders when we have enough in the ranks with Evans, Cairney, McKenna, Olifanjana, Koren, Stewart and even Dudgeon. And then there is Ghilas to come back from his loan!”

“A tough tackling midfielder, just what we've been missing since Ashbee left, and also has had captaincy experience at the age of 23, very promising”

“HCAFCscarb agreed.
Furthermore The comment is taken from the book of the bleeding obvious.
SB wouldn't be interested in him if he wasn't a Premier League player in the making.”

“-5 ?
For saying I would rather hear things from the club then from Phil Brown ?
Lol
I stick by my view... It would be better if there was an interview with Steve Bruce then one with PB who has nothing to do with Hull City anymore.”
