Hull City transfer talk: Bruce confirms QPR contact over DJ Campbell as David Stockdale returns
Steve Bruce has confirmed Hull City are talking to Queens Park Rangers about signing DJ Campbell.
The former Blackpool striker has moved to the top of the Tigers' hit-list after Cardiff hi-jacked a move for Sunderland's Frazier Campbell.

DJ Campbell
Bruce has history with DJ Campbell, having brought him to Birmingham in 2006.
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy appears to have accepted Campbell will not be returning to East Anglia, where he excelled on loan earlier this season.

But Crystal Palace are still chasing his signature.
Meanwhile, Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale has returned to the KC Stadium on loan.
Stockdale is expected to be in the side to face Peterborough tomorrow.
Having inspected the London Road pitch this lunchtime, The Posh are hopeful Saturday's game will go ahead as planned. But with more snow forecast this evening, a postponement has not been ruled out.
Peterborough have asked fans to volunteer for clearing snow and another pitch inspection will be held tomorrow morning.

“Tap in goal scorer, or whatever that means. . .
. . . is another way of saying 'a Fox in the box' and to be a successful Fox in the box you have to be an intelligent positional player to be in the right place at the right time - cast your mind back to Gary Lineker. Exactly the type of opportunistic striker we have been chasing for years.
Fez must be a popular moniker, as I was known by it (in some circles) many years ago and still am.”

“I wonder if Luke Campbell could embark on a career as a Hull City striker after boxing and dancing? Seriously I hope that SB can land DJ Campbell before Crystal Palace jumps in, we need someone who can put away those wasted chances that we create so many of!”

“Oh HCAFCscarb, don't be silly.Assem will whack the winning goal in with his squash racket, and the referee will turn a blind eye as Assem will ensure the ref that officiates the Cardiff game is a Swansea supporter...”

“I wouldn't be surprised to see ASSAM ALLAM score a hat trick in our final game to get us back into the promise land...
Before walking across the Humber.”

“I use to hang around with thee real Fez in the Monte Carlo days..
Get he behind me Fez the imposter.....
They say DJ is a tap in Goal scorer what ever that means......
Also I am told no one can buy Elmo and then play him this season besides Hull City as he has played for Sunderland and Hull city this year.
If he goes anywhere else it has to be a 90 day only emergency loan...
So if MON wants cash to spend then he will come back to Hull City....
Elmo WILL be back in my opinion...
I honestly believe the Allams will back Steve Bruce who ever he wants to bring in....
The ALLAMS are indeed Gods.......”

“None taken, I like good humour and decent banter and that seems to be what this site is getting back to.
For two reasons Fantastically Friendly Fez it will be; reasons being:
1. One of the biggest indicators of eventual success is brushing aside the challenges on the journey and we are doing that.(FC would have been great, those who say not are kidding themselves; but DJC is a cracking predator and not a Hobson's Choice). We have a great deal to be happy about.
2. My laptop is currently boobs up!
Now here is a related thought - Is Cardiff the right club for FC? IMO FC and Bellamy will not combine and to drop one or the other is a waste of riches; especially if you lose the driving creativity of Bellamy - I may be wrong, but I think it will cause a rift of sorts. The dressing room is a finely balanced thing and Bellamy likes to be dominant.”

“Appreciate the feedback so far on DJC like I say I know absolutely nothing about him!!
Alan/Fez...You could always use the 2 gizmos as the mood takes you,a sort of 'Angry Animated Alan' as opposed to a 'Fantastically Friendly Fez' .
That was posted tongue firmly in cheek by the way so no insult intended!!!
(I used to post as 'Raging Ric Glasgow',...Now it's 'Significantly Subdued Strummer'”

“DJC is a good striker and would link well with our squad; he is an intelligent positional player and would be great with NP.
When lots were bemoaning the burn out of our push (after a poor show and Aluko's injury), the Phoenix appears to be rising! Stockdale already back (let Jako focus on regaining his confidence), Elmo almost certainly returning and DJC coming under the spell of Bruce. NP is scoring goals with each game he starts; I really do think he will shine - a rich partnership with DJC would be a promotion cocktail for sure.
Before anyone jumps my bones, fez_2 is the same as alantf because I couldn't get a new kindle to work without changing my name - so who I am depends on what I'm posting from - crazy these gizmos!”
