Hull City have again been linked with Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson today.

The Tigers will battle West Ham for the former England international's signature - according to The Sun.

  1. David Stockdale

First choice: David Stockdale impressed during a loan spell with Hull City.

Steve Bruce has dismissed the rumours and the Mail understands David Stockdale remains his number one target.

But any move for the Fulham star would depend on Martin Jol bringing in a new keeper.

The Cottagers have been linked with Birmingham star Jack Butland and Turkish international Sinan Bolat.

City confirmed their first two signings of the transfer window last night, with David Meyler joining from Sunderland and Robbie Brady from Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Cameron Stewart is set to discuss his future with Steve Bruce following a disappointing return to the Tigers first team against Leyton Orient on Saturday.

• Elsewhere in the Championship, Millwall are set to sign Bristol City striker Ryan Taylor, Blackpool forward Tom Ince is close to a £6m move to Liverpool, and Blackburn want Gus Poyet for their new manager.

I agree with your comments although I've not been able to grasp the whole 'under the radar' thing....We are currently playing the best football in the division - by a long way, according to most - and we have one of the youngest, hungriest, fittest squads around. We also have great owners, an exceptional manager and back room staff, a great ground and superb fans....I personally believe that even if we were 12 ponts clear at the top, or 6th in the premier league, we'd STILL be overlooked in the plaudits scene. Why? Because the letters H, U and L appear to be missing from many pundits' keyboards. I quite enjoy it, to be honest, but sometimes, a slice of praise-pie wouldn't go amiss as it would be thoroughly deserved,

They've gone up mate. They were only 6 till yesterday. I have read a few posts lately questioning it so the powers that be must have taken note. I don't want o blow smoke up anyone's behind but I can't see why they aren't more - they don't seem to have put a foot wrong to me.

“One of the great things about Steve Bruce and the Allams is that they are using the lessons learned from our last trip to the Premiership. The problem was last time, was that we were surprised to get there, so no forward planning was done beforehand. If you get to the Premiership like we did, and want to stay there, you end up having to buy once you get there. Premiership players demand Premiership wages, no matter how good they are, or not as the case might be. The mistakes that we made first time round were actually good for us in the long term, because we are now building a Premiership squad in the Championship. Yes, players will still expect to be on Premiership wages to a large extent, but by buying them in early, City may find that their wage bill is lower in the first season or two, when it needs to be. The other thing of course, is that potentially, because of the young age of the players we are bringing in, we could have a squad capable of competing at the top level for a good number of years. The Stoke City approach appears to have paid off reasonably well. Slowly but surely they have built a formidable squad. Lessons to be learned there as well perhaps. Looking forward to the rest of the season. PS. Anyone know why the Allams are still only seven out of ten on the Amber Nectar website?”

“Matt Duke was dumped by a previous manager no longer at the club. Yes it was stupid as Mat Duke was more than good enough to be our No.2 and Cup goalkeeper. You only know what you have lost once its no longer around.

But as everyone else gets weaker Hull City grow stronger. Top 2 and maybe the title come May 2013. UTT”

“what I like about being under the radar this season is as key players are joining us in January, key players around the championship are leaving. Tom Ince and Zaha in particular as well as others, this can only help our cause which has jumped from scraping the play-offs, to automatic promotion. I for one was hitting the automatic place button on the survey to the right from the start just because I had faith in the way we play. onwards and upwards.

    UTT!”

“Interesting to note that Matt Duke played a blinder for Bradford last night; a 'keeper with experience, including games in the PL, that we let go and currently need a good, experienced 'keeper!”
