HULL City are to get no more tickets for the football match against Bolton on Saturday.

The club originally applied for 1,500 tickets.

Visiting fans stand at Bolton's Reebok stadium.

Up until Tuesday only 800 had been sold, however following the club's win against Blackburn on Tuesday, the allocation has since sold out.

The club did ask for more tickets, but Bolton have refused saying they can’t open another section of the stand as it is too late to organise policing.

“That explains it then. Shame it doesn't matter tomorrow!!”

“I am aware it equals 5,000 not 4,800 however the front row is left empty as are around 50 seats at the corner of the South Lower to segregate home and away fans. 4,800 is the maximum even though there is a 5k capacity in the South Stand.”

“Living in Lancashire myself I'm used to the inferior intelligence of its inhabitants. Sorry Penniner, but 2200 + 2800 does NOT equal 4800. Pleased to say I will be one of the 1500 tomorrow, in the immortal words of Fred Pontin, "BOOK EARLY!!"”

“I am a BWFC fan so will give you my angle. Away clubs can have up to 4,800 -thats 2200 in the South Lower and 2800 in the South Upper. Greater Manchester Police will be to blame here not BWFC. Our last home game two weeks ago v Burnley there were 3400 away fans but seems Burnley fans bought early. Normally in the past when away clubs have brought many away fans on the day without tickets they have then opened up the South Upper. Lincoln City a few years ago in the FA Cup was an example of that when they played at Bolton. Only Leeds Sheffield Wednesday and Everton in the FA Cup have filled the 4800 allocation.BWFC will only have 16000-17,000 fans there on Saturday and certainly would have welcomed 2-3000 HCFC fans there but the police and the local authority will be the problem not BWFC.”

“I went to Blackpool and Peterborough in January and paid on the day. Fortunately I bought tickets at lunchtime today, I was going to buy them tomorrow or pay on the day.

Sadly, if we do get promoted, it'll be back to buying tickets in advance if you're lucky enough to get them. (I've seen City away at Boston, Exeter, Gillingham, Oxford, old Cardiff, Carlisle, Penrith, plus many more and Wembley)”

“why would any club intentionally make it hard for fans to attend a match? it seems pretty crazy.”

“another ridiculous inflexible club that seem only too willing to miss out on revenue into the club. No wonder so many clubs go to the wall when they're run like that!”
