James Chester and Joe Dudgeon could return for Hull City in the Championship clash with Ipswich at the KC Stadium on Saturday.

But Robert Koren is definitely out and Alex Bruce is a major doubt.

  1. James Chester

James Chester has missed the last two games.

Chester has missed the last two games with a hamstring strain sustained in the 3-1 loss to Peterborough, while Dudgeon has had injections in a bid to ease the pain on a persistent knee injury.

However, both are likely to be able to return to the squad for Saturday's game.

That could leave Steve Bruce with a selection headache after Liam Rosenior and Andy Dawson stepped up to steady the Tigers' defence in the 1-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday - a first clean sheet in eight games.

Central defender Alex Bruce is still struggling after pulling out of the Northern Ireland squad this week with a groin problem, while Koren will not be fit to return until the trip to Bristol City at the earliest.

Meanwhile, striker Matty Fryatt will train tomorrow and over the weekend before a final decision on whether he will undergo surgery on his Achilles.
