Hull FC: Ben Galea 'has plenty in the tank' after signing one-year deal
Former Hull KR captain Ben Galea has signed a one-year deal with Hull FC.
The Black and Whites announced the move this morning, confirming the news which the Mail brought to fans last weekend.

Ben Galea says he jumped at the chance to join Hull.
The former Rovers captain insists says the chance to play at Hull reinvigorated his desire to play rugby.
And the 34-year-old promises fans he still has plenty to offer.

"I am really looking forward to getting started with Hull FC, it is a move that excites me," said Galea.
"I know all about the club from their rivalry with Hull KR, I've been involved in the big derby games and there is nothing quite like that atmosphere at the KC Stadium.
"The longer I have thought about it, the more I've realised how much I want to continue with my footy and that I feel I’ve still got enough left in the tank to go around again, so when the chance came up to move to a club like Hull and work with a coach like Peter Gentle, it reinvigorated me and I jumped at it."
Galea had initially announced his retirement from the game after failing to agree a contract for next season with Rovers.
He becomes Hull’s fourth new signing for next season following Gareth Ellis, Joe Arundel and Daniel Holdsworth.

“Poor old auntie Slamm*er,the old queen is trying to find positives from a situation which is totally negative. She says that the Dobbin's pack is a match for most SL teams when the truth is that the reason they have not made the top eight is because their pack has not been good enough and they have lost their two best pack members,Watts and Galea and look certain to lose Taylor.
She also says that Craig ooops Hall is an attacking threat but fails to mention that for every try he scores or creates he gives away at least two by his extremely poor defence. She also mentions the new players the Dobbins have signed when in fact she knows nothing about them except what we all know and that is they couldn't cut it in the NRL and therefore have been forced to try their luck in super league.
Omari Caro is a raw under 20's class player who the Broncos didn't want to keep (had it been Dixon they'd signed I would have been impressed) and Gleeson is yet again poor in defence and is lacking in speed.
Never mind auntie Slamm*r,as you said the other day "all Hudgell has to do is value his players at £1 million and he has instantly made £1/2 million profit" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
MY ADVICE TO THE DISILLUSIONED DOBBINS FANS IS THAT IF YOU WANT TO SEE LIVE TOP CLASS SUPER LEAGUE RUGBY, BUY A HULL FC SEASON PASS FOR NEXT YEAR AND COME AND WATCH A TOP FOUR TEAM IN COMFORT AND ENJOY THE WONDERFULL FACILITIES AFFORDED BY THE KC STADIUM.”

“It's a shame we couldn't make a player/coach deal with Ben to keep his experience and leadership at Rovers. He may not be as quick and fit as he used to be but he's still a wily old goat.”

“rayo612
What are you talking about?
Ben was not offered another contract so he has not sold Rovers down the river.
Rovers had 5 great years out of Ben
Lets not forget that.”

“I have mixed feelings about this. If Ben stays fit and has a decent season I'm going to wish he had had a final season at Rovers. If it turns out to be a season too far then he has tarnished his Rovers legacy for 30 pieces of silver.”

“Aspinwall will be leaving the club ,they will not be offering him another contract. From what Mcrea is saying the club would still not had offered him a contract whether they got Galea or not. I think Aspinwall has done a good steady job for Fc and I wish him all the best and gets a club soon.”
