Hull FC confirm Ellis out for around 12 weeks with stress fracture
GARETH Ellis will be ruled out for the next ten to 12 weeks after suffering a stress fracture to his foot, Hull FC have confirmed today.
Whilst Ellis does not require surgery, he will need to wear a protective boot for six weeks before having his injury reassessed.

A firmer date will then be set for his return, but Hull FC coach Peter Gentle is relatively pleased with the outcome.
"We've had a number of possible outcomes over the last few days and that's why we have taken our time over this to ensure we make the best decision for Gareth and the team," he explained.

"We have to be realistic, he'll probably need at least four to five weeks from getting the boot off to get back running on the foot and build up his fitness again, so we're looking at something around 10-12 weeks."
The break, which happened as Ellis warmed up before the season opener at Leeds, is unrelated to Ellis' previous foot injury suffered whilst playing in Australia last year and the scans have revealed it is actually a very common slight fracture.

Paterson ought to look at his own performances instead of criticising others, he rarely tackles and even when he does it's always on little half backs, he is almost as lazy as Paea and Mika.
