Hull FC duo Tickle and Moa out for season
Hull FC forwards Danny Tickle and Sam Moa have been ruled out for the rest of the season, the club has confirmed today.
It leaves coach Peter Gentle missing 10 first team squad members, considering a recall for assistant Lee Radford, and looking for emergency cover.

Danny Tickle and Sam Moa have been ruled out for the season at Hull FC.
For Moa, it means a sad end to his FC career, as he has decided to return home to Australia at the end of the season.

"It's obviously a huge blow to lose two more of your first-team squad for such a long period of time, particularly players like Sam and Ticks who are a key part of our team," Gentle told the club's website.
"It definitely leaves us a little short, we're not having the best run of luck with injuries at the moment but that is part of the game and we must roll our sleeves up and get on with it.
"We are keeping a close eye on the market at the moment, particularly with the current situation at other clubs and players that could become available.
"There are always deals and opportunities to be had out there, but we won't be rushing into anything or signing players for the sake of it."

“@Robd63 - Rugby League is a very good sport, far superior to Union. Sadly, in this country, it's goverened by a complete set of idiots in the RFL. The Superleague would be far more entertaining should the league not be restricted to franchise membership and allow for relegation and promotion, which is supposedly in place to ensure the financial aspect of the league is safe. But then look at Bradford Bulls, awarded their Superleague License only to be in financial meltdown.
My gripe isn't particularly with Hull FC, what irritates me is a lot of your fans. When there is ever any trouble at your games, the blame is instantly shifted towards the City fans, which is ludicrous.
@Dextertexter - The quicker the plastic Premie League fans do one the better as far as i'm concerned, but even without them the attendances for City games will always be healthy. Let's not argue about attendances though, I think we all know where i'm coming from on that score.”

“hcafc scab, throwing hullfc out,im afraid is an impossiblity bud,and it aint going to happen so get used to us,your club is the club with the biggest fall in gates over the past two seasons, somewhere around the 8000 mark you will probably find another rubbish season and another big fall in gates, and the premier league fans you collected will be like rats abandoning a sinking ship.”

“HCAFCscarb, I see you're another football supporting Hull FC hater like Craggatron and others.
Come clean and let us know your reason behind it.
Mind you, with your "our stadium" comment, at least you've got a sense of humour.”

“Gutted at the way Moa's FC career has ended. He has come on leaps and bounds since he first signed. A lot of praise has to go to Agar for bringing him in. Moa is the only FC player who consistantly carts the ball forward with pace and aggression and he always gives the crowd a massive lift. What I will miss most though is his defence. He seems to be the only player who is willing to put a shot on someone and dominate the tackle. Good look back in Aus and hope it works out for you. If you ever come back to SL then please make sure its back to us!! You will be missed.”

“cemetary, danny tickle still has a further year on his contract, and it will take a hefty transfer fee to get hullfc to let him go,because he is one of the major players in superleague.”
