Hull FC ran in 13 tries as they thrashed Bradford Bulls 70-6 at Odsal.

Tom Briscoe scored a hat-trick, Jamie Foster racked up 26 points and there were braces for Willie Manu and Aaron Heremaia as Hull bounced back from their own horror show at Widnes.

Joe Westerman, Danny Houghton, Ben Crooks and Andy Lynch were also on the scoresheet.

The result means Hull are firm favourites to start their play-off challenge at the KC Stadium.

Coach Peter Gentle had demanded a win from the Black and Whites but admitted he had not expected the manner of the victory.

“We owed a lot of people a performance like that,” he said.

“We came here with a semi-final mentality and we knew it would be intense but I never dreamt there would be a scoreline like that.

“We were desperate for a home semi and the result puts us a long way towards that.

“We’ve had lots ups and down, but we've held solid. It’s now about getting that consistency into our game.”

In-form Bradford had taken an early lead when Jason Crookes touched down in the corner - to the delight of new owner Omar Khan.

But Hull responded with tries from Westerman and Foster after Bulls stand-off Ben Jeffries was controversially sin-binned.

Three more tries before half-time saw the floodgates open and Hull ruthlessly ruined the party for Bradford fans celebrating the club's takeover at their final home game of the season.

“Hey Westdullred, why cant you ever be nice about the mighty F.C.? Your team played OK yesterday against Wigan, for a team that is not anywhere near good enough for the play-offs you really had a good go. The Morgan days are well gone (you managed 4th one season under him, wow!) a downward spiral now for your crummy team and fans I'm afraid. You have a new stand to look forward to tho, BUT i always thought most clubs had 4 stands, you will only have 3, why is that? Maybe if you asked the owners (Hull City Council) nicely the will build another one and your club will then be up to championship standard(just like your team eh? Fool!”

“Watched it! Fantastic! Props controlled the middle. Manu, Crooks and Briscoe deadly on fringes. Heremia the general. And when Horne joined the line it was like having a couple of extra runners.

Couldn't fault the dullers. Well done!

ps to my mate - the £20 is on its way!”

    “Ricksinn

Sorry to **** on your bonfire put nobody gives a ****.
I prefer to look at the league table and re-watchi Hull FC inflict the heaviest defeat in Bradfords history 70-6 on there own turf and laughing about beating Chav KR easily this year and on reflect remembering how KR was the worst team I'd seen this year and that includes York in a friendly.
I also like to think about recent memories of being in the The Challenge Cup Final twice and the Grand Final all in the last 7 years, how about you?
Can you remind me when was the last time you appeared in a major final? to give you a hint it predates the internet.”
