GOLD Coast Titans have confirmed Hull FC have made an offer to sign their captain Scott Prince on a three-year deal.

Reports in Australia this afternoon have quoted Titans’ football manager Scott Clark admitting the deal is on the table.

"We can confirm there is an offer on the table for Princey. He's got to work through that and we'll work through it with him," Clark said.

"At the moment we've had no discussions with him. We'd have to see what Scott thinks is best for him and his future and weigh up some options.

"If Scott is keen to entertain that offer and seek a release then we've got to work through it from there."

Prince has one year to run on his Titans contract.

Titans boss David May would not be drawn on whether the club would grant Prince a release but said he hoped his captain would stay.

"With all our players, if they put the effort in and are loyal to the club we'll always be loyal to them," May said.

"If it was down to me, I'd have him stay but it's a short career and we'll let him decide what he wants to do.

"It's Scott's decision. He's a foundation player and captain of the club.

"He's been instrumental in creating the Titans brand. He came to the club and made us what we are."

“wilo74-thurs. "delete all -5 posts" This is a ridiculous suggestion as you yourself mention "idiotic posts" from people and those idiots could quickly give such as yourself a -5 ban. I agree that boring, repetetive slanging and insulting is annoying but it is up to intelligent posters to ignore these posts and make sensible points or rebuttals. I am a Rovers supporter and biased with it but Ellis is a massive signing and talk of "old" Prince is nonsense. If he is fit and injury free this is a good signing. As for 3yr deals, how many players stay full term in these days of "mutual agreement" departures?”

“Oh dear auntie Slammer is more upset than I first thought, she's trawling the Aussie Newspapers to find some bad comments about a player who is a star in the NRL,poor old girl is really having a massive hissy-fit over this signing.ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Oh I just love reading all these posts from the jealous Dobbin's fans, especially auntie Slammer.ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
The poor old girl is having another one of her hissy-fits at Hull FC's quality signings as opposed the Dobbin's signings of cheap (very cheap) journeymen and players who have been rejected by many clubs in the past as not being good enough.ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
I bet that Lambrini will taste sour tonight for auntie Slammer and her "special friend" Bridrobin at Fuel but I'm sure she will be consoled by her "young nephews" when she buys them their drinks and gives them little presents.ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

STILL NO SIGN OF A SEASON PASS SALE AT CARAVAN PARK.HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

AUNTIE SLAMMER,HAS THE TALENTLESS THUG,TRAVIS BURNS,BOUGHT HIS OWN HOUSE OVER HERE YET.HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA”

“why is 32 too old? 34 - 35 is a good age to retire. rovers are well jel',.....again.
true he probably isn't at his prime but i've seen him play and he is a class larker. hope the signing works for all concerned. unlucky rovers looks like your gunna take a tonking next season wiv your lack of signings and season pass price increases on top of that graham norton has made a right royal mess of things for you hasn't he. pmsl”

“Last comment from me on this story you'll be happy to hear.
Scott is quality. He is too old to be offered a 3 year deal outright. Hull FC fans are aware of this but too silly to once again admit it. The long saga proved that just because an old player who has a great record at one club cannot or does not always guarantee to bring it his game to a new club at 32 years old. Yes you need someone now, "a quick fix", but you haven't signed anyone for the long term. Hull FC seem, under the direction of Bomber McRea, to be making the same mistakes they were making under the control of Hetherington and board.
Rovers however seem, SEEM, to be signing for the future, young blood.
BRING ON 2013, oh and I am a rover fan but my nephew plays for the dark side so have an interest in both clubs.”

“Rovers fans on here, some among rovers worst and dumbest can try and play this down. But if hull pull this off it'll probably end up being the highest profile overseas player to come over this season. Anyone who thinks this wouldn't be a good signing has rocks for brains and knows little of the game. And all those going on about age should look around, all the top teams main players in excess of 30. Sinfield briers Gower finch brough, among many more. Leeds and wire are the 2oldest teams,2 finalists in both final, coincidence. Also prince played 22 games from 26 top end of assists attacking kicks nrl stats. I'll be well made up with a prince and holdsworth partnership. Don't like to count my chickens but sounds well on the way everywhere I read, particularly oz press”

“Coming from fans of a club (I use the term loosely) that signed the magnificent Wally Mason some of the comments by the ultra green Dobbins are laughable!!! This will be a massive signing, we know it, and they know it. Fools!”

“Its a risk yes but one that probably needs to be taken. One to tide fc over until some decent halfbacks are produced or become available. Gower at London was very good last year at 35(i think). Fair enough, knowing our luck he,ll get injured but if not it could be a very special halfback combo in superleague.”

“Blue again. I am sure he will be quality, but as I point out in a previous post, what if after a couple or few games he gets crocked as Longy did?”
