Hull FC's Brett Seymour in hospital following car crash

Hull FC's Australian scrum-half Brett Seymour is in Hull Royal Infirmary after a road traffic accident, the club have confirmed. Club staff attended the hospital at 9.30am this morning after being told Seymour had been involved in a car crash and taken to the hospital. No further details are being released by the club at this time, although a statement from Hull FC is expected later in the day.

The extent of Seymour's injuries are not known, although they are not believed to be life threatening.

The circumstances regarding Seymour's accident are also unclear at present.

The 29-year-old Australian played for Hull on Saturday night against Widnes, winning a recall to the team after being dropped for the past three games.
