Hull FC can't wait forever on Rangi Chase deal - Peter Gentle
HULL coach Peter Gentle admits time is running out to secure the services of Castleford half-back Rangi Chase.
Whilst Hull have agreed a fee with Castleford for Chase, the bid to sign him has been difficult due to complications over securing a visa.

Hull have employed a legal firm in London to pursue the matter, but having recently moved an agreed deadline by which to conclude the deal, time now seems to be running out to get a deal done.
With still no sign of Chase's visa materialising, Gentle admits the whole saga has become frustrating for everyone who is involved.

And while he is still not giving up on getting his man to add to the capture of Salford half-back Daniel Holdsworth, Gentle says something needs to happen one way or the other very soon.
"We have to get to a resolution shortly because it is dragging on too long," Gentle told the Mail.
"It is complicated, but to be fair to Castleford and to us, we need to get it sorted one way or another sooner rather than later.
"We haven't put a timeframe on it but it has dragged on long enough now for everyone involved and we cannot continue like this."

“The longer this goes on the more I think the deal isn't going to happen. In saying that though they have extended the "deadline" which was apparently set so maybe it is getting closer.
My view is that if it doesn't happen within the next week or two then we move on otherwise we won't get anyone. If he doesn't come then would like to see Brough come back (even though he has been made captain at Hudds) as can't see anyone good from NRL coming over unless it's an unknown which carries risks.
Can't think of any other 7s we might be interested in. Dobson is an option due to the financial situation at KR but can't see it myself.”
