Hull KR: Sandercock to leave it late before deciding Greg Eden's fate
HULL KR coach Craig Sandercock will give full-back Greg Eden until tomorrow morning to prove he is fit to face Catalans on Sunday.
Eden suffered a hamstring injury in the Hull friendly derby and is rated as 'doubtful' for the season opener.
Sandercock hasn't ruled his full-back out just yet, but admits his new signing could face a spell on the sidelines.
"We'll make a decision on Greg on Saturday morning," Sandercock told the Mail.

"We need to weigh up what is best for Greg's long-term hopes of playing for us this season against the risk of a short-term recovery.
"We are playing that on a day-by-day basis and I'd say he's 50/50 to play at present, but I'll talk to the medical staff first and make a decision the day before the game.
"It's hard to know how many games Greg will miss if he misses this weekend.
"It will be a big blow if he misses out because he has trained so well in pre-season and he has come along leaps and bounds.
"He played really well against Hull in the friendly and to lose him would be a disappointment.
"We do have a few alternative options, including Sam Latus, but we'll get this week over with and we'll have a look at it then."
With his two first choice centres out injured, Sandercock has to decide who will replace Kris Welham and Sean Gleeson.
Gleeson has a back injury while Welham broke his hand in the 28-18 derby win at the KC Stadium.
Sandercock has opted to give Liam Salter the right centre spot with new signing Omari Caro starting outside him on the wing, but he is undecided when it comes to the opposite side.
"Liam will play," he explained. "At this stage he has done enough in the friendlies to impress me.
"Omari has also done enough to play against Catalan.
"I have a couple of options for the left hand side with Chris Heil and Graeme Horne in the running."
