NICK Johnson could be the latest Hull-born youngster handed his Super League chance by Hull KR this weekend.

Johnson is in line to replace leading try scorer Dave Hodgson, who tore his hamstring in the 42-36 defeat to Wigan on Sunday.

Johnson has been named in Sandercock's 19-man squad this season but has yet to make his senior debut.

Now, Sandercock admits he could get the call he has been waiting for.

"There is a chance Nick Johnson could feature," Sandercock told the Mail.

"You might see one or two of the young kids play as there have been a couple that have impressed me in training.

"They may well get their opportunity this weekend."

If Johnson is handed his Super League debut against London, he will be the sixth youngster promoted to the first team this season.

"The kids who have come in at the back end of the season have done really well," said Sandercock.

"Their positives far outweigh the negatives. They will be so much better for this experience but they now need to work hard in the off season.

Rovers have only pride to play for this weekend at London, but Sandercock insists his side will be up for the game."

"We've had enough of losing close games. We want to be in the game and finish the season well," he said.

“Dickydark, firstly, thanks for reading our little website. That paragraph was aimed at 2 or 3 people out of 4,000 though. Don't worry about it. Our fans on the whole are amazing!”

“Oh and dickydark, have a look at RL Fans and read what the Wigan fans thought of Rovers fans.

Have you forgotten your fans leaving after 60 mins when they are beaten, booing the coach and team, throwing bricks at away fans coaches after Hull have lost and spitting at cheerleaders?”

“Dickydark - you really do talk some rubbish.

Do you really think Watts was forced out of Rovers because they couldn't afford him?

He was told he didn't fit into the team plans and shoudl find another club.

I wasn't aware that Taylor or Hodgson were leaving either, where do you get this nonsense from?

The most successful teams in SL have been largely homegrown - Wigan, Leeds. Nobody has ever won anything because they have bought a team.

You really do need to pay attention, I worry that you might actually believe the guff you write.”

“One of the most disappointing aspects of the whole day was some sections of the crowd's reaction at the final hooter. Yes, we're disappointed to lose; yes, we're downright ****ed off that we are not higher in the league than we'd like to be, but nobody has the right to direct their frustrations out on the players like some of us witnessed straight after the game. Those giving hand signals to Mickey Paea at the bottom of the east stand ought to be ashamed of themselves.

That is not how you should demonstrate your feelings towards the club and its players. Do you really think the players don't know or that they can't sense our dismay? Of course they can, they're not flippin' idiots!........ interesting reading thanks for that insight to your loyal fans”

“************* you spout some sh,t go find who your real dad is I will give you a clue his post name is eddy lets see you all boasting your playoff birth in 2 weeks when again you get knocked out.the reason most of you curly ****s turn to spouting about money losses is you have nothing else on rovers due to them next season bringing youth through the ranks unlike FC who pay daft money to put so called bums on seats which has not worked. I pity FC when the plug is pulled and Pearson gets a sniff at another football club he can then use FC as plausable assets.”

“Girlie******, The gates are not spread equally over the 8 play off teams. There is a sliding scale depending how far you progress in the play offs. If a team is knocked out in the first round they do not get any more gate receipts from the next rounds!!! Foolish Troll”
