HULL KR's pre-season plans will be boosted by the arrival of Travis Burns, their big signing for 2013, next week.

The former Penrith Panthers stand-off will arrive in the UK this weekend ready to start training on Monday.

He will be joined by fellow new recruit, forward Evarn Tuimavave, who has signed from Newcastle Knights.

It means coach Craig Sandercock will have his full squad available for training.

Burns arrives looking to resurrect his career after effectively being forced out of the NRL with a 12-match ban and will miss the first five Super League rounds.

As the replacement for Blake Green, Sandercock is hoping he can form a formidable half-back partnership with newly-appointed captain Michael Dobson as KR look to improve on last season's disappointing 10th-place finish.

    “Butchers.

I thought Hull FC had signed Scott Prince, Rangi Chase, Jacob Miller and Lopini Paea and they said they had 'six young quality players' in the bag that they would announce in September.”

“kr-sad. Its Sunday don't you EVER give it a rest, although I guess this is your life these days so its maybe understandable as we all know you have nothing else to do.

Hey FC on the Up. What about Hull FC's big signings? Prince, Paea, Chase etc. Oh, sorry, no, they said they didn't want to play for Hull FC, I forgot.

Take a step back and ask what happened to Hul FC's big signings that were promised.”

“Kr-Bell-Bell. Sorry about the factual error, but I had had a couple of sherbets last night, so surely I am forgiven for getting Taylor and Watts. But let's us face the real fact here... YOU WANTED BOTH. if that small error in a name is all you can come back with then bring it.
I AM GOING TO STOP NOW, BECAUSE HAVING A DEBATE WITH YOU IS LIKE HAVING A BATTLE OF WITS WITH AN UNAMRMED MAN. BAFOON.”

“Travis Burns a "big signing" ? Yes, for KR maybe. Banditman, so do you rate TB higher than Blake Green, who has joined arguably the best team in SL ? Wow, looks like SL are in for a real treat this coming season doesn't it ? Maybe Burns' and Dobbo's "lethal" partnership will take you to the dizzy heights of 9th ? But you'll have to wait until round 6 of the competition for him to weave his magic won't you ?
Wonder what his first impression of the club will be when he walks down Poorhouse Lane ?”

“Very sad news indeed about Johnny Moore.

A well respected player, assistant coach during Rovers halcyon days, and a true gentleman.

Sincere condolences to his family. RIP.”

“Kr-bell-bell.... We didn't play derbies for 10 years because we were not in superleague, you only got in and stayed in superleague for reasons that are in my earlier post(with the exception of explaining your old (faithful) ground wasn't even suitable for 2nd division rugby as it contravened H&S rules by being made of wood. So you had to either take a handout from the council, by moving to Hull City's ground, or stop trading as HFC, which you have done anyway.
We last won PROMOTION, not given a right to stay in superleague on the back of a Premiership football team who pay for the upkeep of the ground, pay for the gate/ticketing staff amongst other things.
We were offered a no hold bars loan and given the financial climate, would have been stupid to say no.
Ellis has played in Oz for years, occasionally coming here for a week or 2, quite different even you must agree, to playing here in sub zero temperatures week in week out, not to mention training in it.
Position placings last year, you got me there.... What about the last 4 seasons? I think you'll find i got you there!
Our players are 3&4th place rejects.? You wanted Green, you want Dobson, you got Taylor. You've got no half back pairing, you've managed to sign an old man, or two, and you've got the audacity to say our new signings are 3&4th rate.
    Jog on bud, jog on!”
