“Kingston-upon-Hull as yet to embrace fully multi-cultralism as experienced in most other parts of the island. I would suggest that in a decade or two this city will be reaping the benefits as other cities already have.

It seems ill-feeling against such ideals is weak at best - as can be seen by the limited negative reaction of the population of Hull as a whole - a very small fraction indeed seem bothered enough to comment here... ...as an example.”

“Charity begins at Home simple as that. This once Great Nation is now the laughing stock of the rest of the World,we have become the asylum capital of the world because most who come to our once Great shores are just free loaders send them all home back to the Country of their origin and lets put in place laws like Australia have were you must be able to support yourself financially for a period of time before you rely on the State or Charities for handouts.”

“It is satisfying to know that there are organisations out there that are ready to support those in need when they land on our shores. It is the very least this country can do following it's slavery and exploitation policies of the past and it's constant aggressive posturing abroad. Lets not forget many of the weapons used in these war torn and crisis ridden countries were built in this country.”

“I was born in a little house off Spring Bank back then and through my growing up years there was a mixture of shops mainly all English although I remember S. Low the Chinese laundry always being there and later a superb Chinese take-away. I drove down Spring Bank a few weeks ago and was totally amazed at the shops and I felt like I was in another Country. I had heard ppl calling it Springbankhanistan and such names but did not really realise why, now I do.

I once worked with some of these charitable organisations for vulnerable, excluded and disadvantaged ppl and the like...and in all honesty I heard an awful lot of talk about many ideas for projects but they seldom came to fruition and I was aware of some very high salaries being 'EARNED' (that's open to debate) by 'paid' workers and the saying 'talk is cheap' was not the case because basically talking was all they mostly did and that talk was very expensive in terms of salaries and expenses being claimed.

So of this £27,000 it would be very interesting to know how much will be used for salaries and how much for office expenses...experience tells me 80p on some post-its (to cover office expenses) and the rest a salary for someone who likes to 'talk the talk but never walks the walk'.

The money should be given to a community initiative that benefits all the community equally and that would be equality!”

."I don't blame people who are born in some of the worlds most poverty stricken areas trying to come to the UK or any of the richer country's "

I don't blame them either but when they are given (and expect as a right) preferential treatment over the local population then something is wrong.”

Exactly the viewpoint that your lords and masters want you to have - as long as the people at the bottom are busy pulling each other down and falling for simple divisive politics, the people at the top stay at the top, becoming more secure and more wealthy.

That's a liberal view? Far from it Wake up and see where the real blame lies.”

“Why should we give anything to anyone not from the UK?
Why do we give billions in aid to India, when they have a higher GDP then we do?

F*ck em all, that's what I say. Look after yer own.

    Narrow minded, probably.
Sick of seeing the p155 being taken - definitely.

If you wish to give money personally, then that's fine, donate your hard earned to a charity, it's your choice. Donating as a state takes that choice away and that's not what I voted for.”

We are so lucky in the UK . We don't have to walk 6 miles to get water from a muddy stream we just turn our taps on and hey presto we have clean safe water.

No doubt most posters on here would want to escape from civil wars and poverty IF they had been born in a hell hole .

Well done to the bank for donating the cash .”

Whilst your liberal views may be very noble, it would appear just looking on here that you speak for the minority? Most people are fed up of it.

I couldn't give a rats arris about the £27000, it pennies on the grand scheme of things - however you cannot deny had this been a donation to help vulnerable WHITE people you would all lose your minds.

You cant have it both ways.”
