Hull folk expect thumbprint payments and robotic cars
Almost half of Hull people expect to be able to pay by scanning their thumbprint in the year 2025, according to new research.
The Payments Council's education campaign, PayYourWay.org.uk, has collated the figures.
Looking beyond payments, Hull's most expected new invention in 2025 is a speech-enabled home, with 58 per cent, of people expecting to have their lights, ovens and computers triggered by speech.
More than a third of people expect self-driven cars to be available and it appears men are generally more positive than women about technology.
