"I come to as many launches as I possibly can and this games looks epic," he said. "I can't wait to give it a go."
GAME, which has been supported by Hull-based Platform Expos, was chosen by game makers EA Games to host the event ahead of London.
Neil Broadhead, local marketing manager at GAME, attended the launch.
He said: "There is a big gaming community in Hull so it is fantastic to be able to bring a launch of this magnitude to the city.
"The enthusiasm that gamers have here is brilliant. Usually, big launches are hosted in London so to bring this up north is something that we are delighted to be able to do."
