Hull phone box dressed up in red woollen cosy for Comic Relief
SHOPPERS in the city centre may stumble across a bizarre sight today.
The cream KC phone box on Paragon Street has been dressed up red for Red Nose Day in a giant woollen cosy.

A telephone box has had a makeover for Red Nose Day, by local group Knitwits. Pictured are Liz Pacey, left, from the Knitwits and Philippa Norman from Comic Relief with the phone box in its cosy. Picture: Peter Harbour
Local group The Knitwits has been knitting the red cosy since before Christmas, even sneaking out under the cover of darkness, armed with measuring tapes and torches, to ensure it is a snug fit.
Liz Pacey, from The Knitwits, said: "I can't believe it is finally up. I was panicking it would be too big but it looks perfect."
