“Closing the road for four hours is absolutely disgraceful.

The police / ambulance would have been on the scene less than 10min after the accident. The local recovery company who would have been tasked with removing the damaged taxi would have been there within an hour, maybe two hours maximum. In that time the police could have breathalised the taxi driver, photographed the scene and taken details of any witnesses.

Closing the road for four hours and causing absolute gridlock to all and sundry is not acceptable and is clearly poor management of the situation.”
