Hull's Trinity Square market changes dates
The market at Trinity Square in Hull's Old Town is now taking place on the first Friday of the month.
The 18-stall craft market, which was re-launched last August, includes vintage-inspired jewellery, organic and fair trade baby clothes, cakes, gifts and photographic art.
Stall holder Victoria Harper, of Harper's Bizarre candles. said: "I think the market is fabulous. Loads of people comment that it is not the same as it used to be but shopping has now changed.
"Whereas once you would go to a market for cheap stuff now there has been a real role reversal and markets are all about an opportunity to buy locally made, high quality products.

“I don't understand why the ground floor of the old Co-op building can't be used again for a market. Make a great market hall like Leeds or Halifax. Much more central, more customers and surely pay for itself. How many people choose to walk all the way to Trinity Square to look at a few expensive craft stalls?”

“It would be nice if the council took the trouble to advertise it, I live in Hull and I have never heard of a craft market in the market place.”
