Searches are being carried out across the East Riding, North Yorkshire and Cleveland to find her.

Police believe she may have taken public transport in an attempt to get to Skelton in Teeside.

Inspector David Braysmith is overseeing the search.

He said: "Mrs Stewart has only been a resident in the area since December 2012, previously living in Skelton, Teeside for over 60 years.

"I would like anyone working on the transport network, buses, trains or taxi firms who think they may have seen her to ring the police."

"Even though Mrs Stewart is in relatively good health, she has been diagnosed with the early stages of dementia and her family are anxious to know her whereabouts and know she is safe and well.

Mrs Stewart or anyone who has seen her should call police on 101 and quote log 68 of February 12.
