INDEPENDENT Beverley businesses are offering 24-hour internet shopping to compete with supermarkets and chain stores.

Gift, home accessories and furniture store, Amanti, has joined the Click and Collect service.

Owner Antony Barton, said: "The Click and Collect service is designed to enable customers to shop and pay online and then just pop in to collect at a time to suit them.

"Shopping online is incredibly convenient for many people but there are downsides – delivery charges, waiting for a delivery to arrive or having it turn up while you're out."
