Instructor awarded NHS grant for fitness classes
EAST HULL: An army training instructor who runs outdoor fitness classes has been awarded an NHS grant.
Billy Hughes, 44, runs The Park Training Incentive (PTI) as a non-profit scheme which aims to help people get fit.
The classes were launched last September and take place in public parks.
He has now been awarded a £200 grant from the NHS under its Healthy Hearts scheme.

The scheme aims to reduce people's risk of heart disease, and includes advice on a healthy diet and lifestyle, physical activity and stopping smoking.
Mr Hughes said: "The idea is to get more people out and about in our parks and to become healthier.
"What I would love to be able to do is to put a trainer in each of our parks who I could teach to coach others for the benefit of fighting the obesity epidemic."
Classes cost £2 per hour and run on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from Bellfield Playing Fields in east Hull at 6.30pm each day.
