JASON Netherton has thanked Hull KR's supporters for making his time at Craven Park so special after agreeing to leave the club early.

The 30-year-old had one year left on his deal, having signed in 2004, but he has now agreed a severance deal to allow him to move on.

Great memories: Jason Netherton made 166 appearances for Hull KR.

As part of the Rovers side which won the Northern Rail Cup in 2005 and helped to defeat Widnes a year later to reach Super League, the prop is a popular figure at the east Hull club.

Having made 166 appearances and scored 13 tries, Netherton will be sad to leave but admits he goes with some great memories.

He said: "I'd like to say a big thank you to the supporters who've backed me throughout the whole time I've been here. It is a cliché, but they are the best supporters around and are a credit to the club.

"I've got some brilliant memories from some really special games which I'll never forget."

“Financial reality is a miles away from where the Rugby League is, I can understand AP wanting to be involved with the greatest game, but I am not sure how much he knows about making money. He should talk with NH and the board at the Bulls and many others who have supported the game out of their back pockets for too long. They will all have a similar tale and should know the truth, but despite their knowing still get involved because the hearts rule their heads. In a certain period of time they realise the outgoings overtake their ability to pay, then again AP has seemingly jumped ship a few times. Maybe his plan is to find the right investor for Hull. At least the Hull practice of taking player value into the balance sheet should have the desired effect.”

"I see Dull Kr s pass sales have come to an abrubt halt, only 2123 sales today.
an absolute mile of break even, because with such a small fan base it is what to be expected.

2.5 million in debt and getting worse day by day.

Dull KR - - it ground, No fans"

Looks like another Muppet who is 'in the know'. Probably related to Scott Taylor or more likely Liam hic hic Watts.

    BEL13VE ?? You must be joking !!

"once again bridrobi fails to give a direct answer to a question about his team
once again bridrobin has to mention hull fc
STILL WAITING NAME THE PLAYERS WHO HAVE LEFT AND THE PLAYERS COMING IN IF YOUR NOT A FRAUD!!!!!!!"

I treated your inane question question with the contempt it deserved.

When you Posted at 1.26pm yesterday, I was standing in the East Stand bar having a chat with Westhullred, Stottlemeyer and other stalwarts of the HDM Forum. Forest turned up later. Didn't give you a thought, you weren't (and still aren't) worthy of a mention in our deliberations.

    Get a grip Muppet.

    lol”

“Ragingfool, you really are thick aren't you? Rovers were nowhere near ready for super league when we won the right to entering 2006(unlike the begging team in the west),we have made great strides on and off the pitch under king Neil and when we can create new income steams with the new facilities been built we might be able to challenge,so worry about your own mongrel club who to me seem like a rudderless ship under Pearson, falling pass sales, falling sponsorship money and rising costs at the KFC!!!!”
