Jobs under threat at east Hull cocoa firm
The future of an east Hull cocoa factory is hanging in the balance after the owners announced proposals to close the facility in the summer.
ADM Cocoa, which employs 86 people at its plant in Cleveland Street, confirmed a month-long consultation process was now underway.
The US-based company said it planned to close the facility on July 1, citing a need to increase operational efficiencies across the business.

“Yet another nail in the coffin of redundancy, typical, the american owners just like Kraft and Cadbury, buy a british company and then assett strip it, has nay body realised this country is so over taxed that there is now wonder british companies are getting bought, or production is movin abroad. WHY? because this country would rob its own grand mother even if she was in her grave, things started to o pear shaped when Bliar got in and the biggest idiot there is, is hoping for a win in the elections. If they get in again, kis the country good bye”
