“paul, jon, sarah, neil, graham; what wastes of space you are;
pathetic and ignorant - to take your obviously valueless time from your ieffectual lives to leave comments as above on an artist such as JOE LONGTHORNE shows what total morons you are. How dare you insult a man who has
PROVEN to have more courage, charisma, heart, and talent than the likes of you could ever hope to understand.
On a bad day joe can outsing and out perform ANY of the others in the business - thats why he has been loved and welcomed worldwide . . not to mention his charity work . . your time would best be spent looking in the mirror and being truthful with YOURSELVES about the reflections - if you understand the meaning of the word.
JOE IS A LEGEND . . not that you would even know what that meant.”

“I am not a native of Hull but can claim a distant connection as my late husband was born and bred in Malton not far from your fair city. It is appallling to read the disappointing comments about Joe Longthorne.I have been a fan of Joe's for many years and have always followed his career with great interest. He is without doubt one of this country's finest all round entertainers and as a vocal performer second to none, he is class with a capital "C"all the way and Joe is always "live" , can't imagine some of todays modern acts managing without their backing tapes! Joe doubtless has his shortcomings like every other human being on this earth but he is a shining example of what can be achieved in life if one really tries, and ,in his case he has triumphed against incredibly odds. I would applaud this son of Kingston-upon-Hull as a true working class hero, a great inspiration to others and a tireless charity campaigner and would be more than proud if he came from my home town!”

“I have never understood why the HDM has paid so much attention to someone who struck lucky but is no more than a pub singer. If they got their fingers out of thier a**** and did some proper talent promotion then perhaps we can promote some real talent from the region instead of highlighting someone who lives in Lancashire.”
