John Godber honoured at awards
THE former artistic director of Hull Truck Theatre has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
John Godber received the accolade at the Yorkshire Awards, which recognises people and organisations who have had a positive impact on the county.
His plays are among the most performed in the English language and his work has won him numerous awards, including an Oliver Award and two Baftas.
He ended his 26-year relationship with Hull Truck Theatre in December 2010 and has now established The John Godber Company, working with Theatre Royal, Wakefield.
