KC today came under fire from customers about the policy, which is not shared by other Internet providers.
Cathy Philips, head of corporate communications for KC, said: "We have decided to take a softer approach and we will now operate a three strikes and you are out rule."
She said customers who are reported by the police, a copywriter or someone on behalf of a copywriter, will be sent warning letters before they lose Internet provision.
People effected will then have to sign an agreement in order to be reconnected.
The new policy comes in with immediate effect.

“I think you may have misread Arthur's postings JL, you obviously have a vested interest so will quite naturally go incandescent when someone wants you company scrapped. Having said that if KC was abolished who / what will fill the vacuum? On that score I agree with you JL.”

“Its nothing to do with 'Poor me!! im financially very well off thank you!! but from what you have just said with that history, how can you possibly make such comments! People are so quick to jump on things they do not understand!! If you have a few minutes, spend a few reading about Kcom and how they compare to other providers, for example, i do believe Karoo have achieved overall performance 2 years in a row, speed league, 1st again for 2 years in a row.
I am sick of reading about how bad they are, i come from BT land and have been in hull for only a few years, and i just wish you could experience BT,s service, prices etc.. compared to Kcom, your not just one of thier many many customer and become a number, its a more personal experiance with Kingston communications, and i honestly can say every single one of you would eat your words!! Kcom get hammered as they are the only provider in the area and they hold the MANOPOLY!!!, let me tell you as a matter of fact,NO other companies are prepared to come into the area because the initial outlay would out do their financial return, and thats 100% FACT!!!!! So why not call or write to the other companies and abuse them, as it is, after all, their decision!
So.... what would be quite funny, if kingston did decide to pull out of hull, what would you all do!!! Ask your selves that!!!!
And as for more people wanting them dead and burried, you really are a minority, its just the simple minded beings.”

“JL my old son I think more people wish KC dead and buried than those who don't. No sane person wishes unemployment on anyone, I've been there 3 times and have probably been through the financial mill more than you, council house for 35 years, at least 10 CCJ's over 30 odd years, attachment of earnings orders so don't give me any of the "poor me" crap. I do not wish anyone out of work, but if a company is not performing as it should that's life. Have a go at the fat cats at the top who cause all the world's misery, not the people at the sharp end (including KC staff) who want to do a good job. Bosses don't let them, end of story.”

How Dare you Arthur and who the hell do you think you are!!! Do you have any idea how many people work for Kcom, and you wishing for it to, as you put it 'KC dying, sooner the better'
Yep, thats just what Hull needs, more people out of work. You may have your views about the company, but what about the thousands of people who would suffer, not just staff, but thier family, children and so on. You absolute inconsiderate pleb! Now im not a nasty person, but i honesty wish the worst on you and yours!!!! And if this was,nt a regulated site, you would feel the wrath of a very angry Man!!! Cant stand busy body know it all,s like you!!”

“Typical Blairite/EU spying on people. I fully support all of you who think this is outrageous, as Anthony correctly says what next? Record our keystrokes? The sooner KC dies the better.”
