IT will be the biggest challenge of her life and create memories to treasure forever.

Natalie Jackson, 30, of Hull city centre, is gearing up for a 400km cycle ride in Kenya to help in the fight against cancer.

She will cycle the distance over five days, taking in the Rift Valley and finishing at Lake Victoria.

Natalie will raise money for three charities – Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Trust, which helps women and their families affected by cervical cancer, and the Ovarian Cancer Action charity.

She has to raise at least £2,800 by December 2011 before flying out to Nairobi for the challenge, which is organised by Action for Charity, in February 2012.

"I haven't been on a push bike since I was at school," said Natalie.

"But I'm looking forward to being the fittest I have ever been in my life.

"It's only been a week since I registered and already I can't believe the amount of support I'm getting. I feel enlightened.

"I want to raise awareness that just giving a pound can make such a difference."

She will be part of an 80-strong group of cyclists for the challenge in Kenya.
