What is Hull City Council thinking about even to contemplate closing Anlaby Park Library?

I have used the library for years, especially when I studied for exams, as it is just round the corner.

There are five, yes, five sheltered housing schemes for older people within a short walking distance of the library.

Older people read. Many, like myself, do not use technology for entertainment, only the television and a good book.

There are no day centres in the area or any other facilities for us, for that matter.

Going to the library is not only to pick up a book, it is a nice short walk and a bit of a social activity.

I hope Councillor Terry Geraghty can be bothered to read this, as he couldn't be bothered to turn up for the last meeting he was invited to.

Perhaps if it had been in east Hull he would have made the effort.
