M&S Simply Food store to create 50 jobs
Retail giant Marks and Spencer say a new store opening in Anlaby later this year will create fifty new jobs.
The development will see the region's second M&S Simply Food outlet after the first opened in Beverley two years ago.

An M&S Simply Food store is coming to Anlaby.
It will open in a unit at a new retail park in Springfield Way, Anlaby, after East Riding planning councillors recently reversed a decision to restrict food sales at the site.
When planning permission was originally granted for the retail park, a condition was imposed preventing any food sales from the five main retail units at the site.
Developers Derwent Holdings subsequently submitted a further application requesting the condition be lifted for one of the units.
That application was refused and Derwent lodged an appeal.
The appeal was recently upheld by a planning inspector at the same time as the East Riding's planning committee gave the go-ahead to a revised application seeking the go-ahead for food sales at the 13,000sq ft unit.
Peter Donohoe, M&S regional manager said: "We are delighted to be opening a new Simply Food store in Anlaby, boosting our presence in the region and providing the very best of Marks and Spencer food in a convenient location."
The store's opening has been scheduled for later this summer.
Mr Donohue confirmed that 50 new jobs will be created.
The store will offer a range of food products including ready meals, fresh produce, sandwiches, salads and snacks.

“HDM Why is there no comment facilities on the Chef James Martin story? I for one love James and think others would like to make positive comments on the news that he visited the city”

“About time, lets hope this site now gets moving and improves the shopping options in the area.
Mrs Womble will be doing cartwheels not having to drive through to Beverley. Will be much easier to park and no doubt free to do so aswell (East Riding Council please take note!!) So its a win win situation for me. Only downside i may have to hide her debit card...”

“Good move for the locals I think Morrisons would have been quite happy to squeeze every last penny from the area Selling rubbish fruit and veg. Now hopefully we will see a few more outlets move in Maybe a Wilkos .It would save me a long trip to BQ/ Homebase to get my pants pulled down.
