Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart has backed residents in their fight against another wind farm.

A public inquiry into proposals by Renewable Energy Systems (RES) to build nine turbines at Roos in Holderness got underway this week.

East Riding Council's planning committee had thrown out the application due to visual impact, the effect on the character of the rural area and the cumulative impact.

During the inquiry at County Hall in Beverley today Mr Stuart said there was opposition to the plans at every level.

He said: "We have all representatives in the community, from me as the MP to parish councils and residents, all opposing this development."

The public will get the chance to speak on Tuesday evening with a meeting of the inquiry at Roos Memorial Hall at 5pm.

The inquiry will conclude on Wednesday with closing submissions.

“So what instead of windfarms? You'd all be happy to foist an incinerator onto the Paull/Hedon residents wouldn't you?
Windfarms work. Shame you don't all feel so strongly about housing built onto flood plains etc...
Mr Stuart, like most MP's thinks only of his own profile not his constituents.”

“What happened to the Tory Boy Danter story?

“Graham Stuart is an MP who fights and tries to look after his constituents. Windfarms are a total waste of money and this winter has proved it beyond any doubt. I wish we had a MP like Mr Stuart in Haltemprice. No one can accuse Mr Stuart of being idle. And he also fully supports his leader Mr Cameron.”

“I have to Ask, why the HDM has pulled the story on the Hull city Bust Up?? When other national Newspapers are allowing their comment facility to continue on the story!!!

As For John Hull, Its not a case of the truth coming out!

Its about certain people who are commenting on here, Trying to sabotage a perfectly good debate, By making false accusations what went on!! And on that note, The story is bound to be pulled, In fact its more like someone does not want the bad publicity, Or the parents and friends who are involved with the individual, Who have set out or been advised to comment on here for the sort of action to be taken!! I,E he or she can then make a complaint to the HDM to have the story pulled with threats of solicitors!

I noted this morning with names of those, Who dont comment on here on a regular basis, Most of them funny enough where from beverley!!”

“He needs to stop doing pointless photo shoots and find out what residents want instead of what the minority NIMBYs want.
We need sustainability...perhaps we could utilise the hot air coming from Mr Stuart and Mr Parnaby.”

“Why can't we comment on the Danter case any more? Is it because the truth is coming out HDM?”
