Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart has backed residents in their fight against another wind farm.
A public inquiry into proposals by Renewable Energy Systems (RES) to build nine turbines at Roos in Holderness got underway this week.

East Riding Council's planning committee had thrown out the application due to visual impact, the effect on the character of the rural area and the cumulative impact.
During the inquiry at County Hall in Beverley today Mr Stuart said there was opposition to the plans at every level.
He said: "We have all representatives in the community, from me as the MP to parish councils and residents, all opposing this development."
The public will get the chance to speak on Tuesday evening with a meeting of the inquiry at Roos Memorial Hall at 5pm.
The inquiry will conclude on Wednesday with closing submissions.

“So what instead of windfarms? You'd all be happy to foist an incinerator onto the Paull/Hedon residents wouldn't you?
Windfarms work. Shame you don't all feel so strongly about housing built onto flood plains etc...
Mr Stuart, like most MP's thinks only of his own profile not his constituents.”

“What happened to the Tory Boy Danter story?
I was really looking forward to reading the comments tonight after posting early this morning.
I see there were 69 posts before it was pulled, every time i think of this story it reminds me of what a nasty, arrogant, rude piece of work he is, job centre for you Tory Boy”

“Graham Stuart is an MP who fights and tries to look after his constituents. Windfarms are a total waste of money and this winter has proved it beyond any doubt. I wish we had a MP like Mr Stuart in Haltemprice. No one can accuse Mr Stuart of being idle. And he also fully supports his leader Mr Cameron.”

“Good to see local politicians listening to their constituents.
Pity the Hull lot don't do more of it”
