The politicians were given a tour of the centre in Snowdon Way, where the groups are based, before speaking to volunteers about their work.
Hull East MP Karl Turner said he wanted to applaud the work being done by the Buddies scheme in north Bransholme.
He said: "Bransholme Buddies is a vital service for many groups, including younger and older people. It was great to see the mobile youth club, which is out and about in the community four nights a week."
Bransholme Buddies run a mobile youth club that visits locations across the estate. Members also arrange activities for elderly people and visit them at home.
The community caretakers clear empty houses and gardens and help residents with DIY and home improvements.
Mr Turner said the scheme ensured young people have somewhere to go at night at a time when the Government was cutting funding for youth services.
He said: "There is a correlation between youth crime and youth facilities, the better the youth facilities – the lower youth crime.
"It is reassuring that this scheme is providing a safe haven for many young people and offers an alternative to hanging around on street corners.
"The project also holds lunches and clubs for older people. During these cold winter months it is reassuring that workers are looking out for more vulnerable people."
Hull North MP Diana Johnson said: "It was great for all three Hull MPs to see together the best of Bransholme's community spirit and resilience.
"Despite all the coalition Government cuts being targeted so unfairly at Hull, it's inspiring to see all the efforts to keep activities for young people and skills training going in Bransholme."
The youth club unit is on the streets four nights a week and offers young people a place to meet and relax.
On board, there is a pool table, games consoles and board games. Young people are also encouraged to talk to volunteers about their lives.
