Man arrested in east Hull raids as police launch M-cat campaign

HUMBERSIDE Police have arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of possession of mephedrone, also known as M-cat.

Officers carried out raids on two homes in Leslie Avenue, east Hull, on Friday, as part of a week-long campaign by the force to raise awareness of the use of the Class B drug.

The man was arrested after a small amount of M-cat was found in one of the houses along with an industrial-sized safe.

Officers are continuing to search the properties for more drugs or drugs paraphernalia.
