A man needed hospital treatment after he was assaulted outside his Withernsea home.

The victim got into an argument with another man at about 9.15pm on Friday in Carrs Meadow.

The man was standing in his driveway when the argument broke out.

The offender approached the victim and feigned to throw a punch.

The other man covered his face to protect himself but, when he removed his hands from his face, he was then actually punched in the face.

The victim suffered bleeding to his lip and was knocked to the floor. He later sought treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary.

A man, 59, was arrested and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
