“The street (Terry Street) opposite this Post Office is Housing Association territory and is the accommodation dumping ground for Hull's druggies. Every day there are blue flashing lights flying in and out of the Street - either arresting or taking corpses away. There is a Gypsy Camp half a mile down the next street and about the worst Council Estate in Hull within quarter of a mile. Beverley Road is also inhabited by thousands of East Europeans - 99% of whom are decent people (and the Women are stunners) but then there's the 1% who live their lives in an alcohol fuelled blurr.
I've worked very close to this Post Office for 25 years and I wouldn't get my rrrs out after dark, let alone money.”

“I've lived on Beverley road for35 years and where not all scum, it's a small minority of people who spoil it for the rest of us. I walk down beverley road every day and I've never has a bad experience so that must tell you it's pretty safe. It can happen any where even in the so called safe areas. Come on people there are robberies and crime every where.”

“Kinnison. Do you have to have a reason to satisfy you just to draw YOUR own money out of bank.
Just as a passing point, I tried to draw money from a machine on the Same night and about 10 . 30 pm.. As it happens, the machine was on the blink.
I needed it early the next day.”

“This is odd because normally you get 'robbed' inside the bank by people in smart suits.”

“Ask why they do it?....'cos there's no chance of getting caught...easy pickings.
Nice to see the cameras doing the job the officials told us they would do; preventing / solving crime;catching the crooks...yeah, right.
If ever the time comes when people want a Demo march down Bev Rd, - because they're all outta work and homeless - (no jokes, please) you see, they'll be working OK then, I'll bet”

“Goodness he was brave, I'd never walk down Beverley Road during the day, never mind getting cash out at night. There are some truly dreadful people down there.”

“The opposite of sensible is foolish. You stated 'that a sensible person would know that's not the sort of place you want to be taking money out after dark'. Implying he was not a sensible person; therefore someone who is not sensible is foolish. If you had said it was not a sensible thing to do then it would have been a foolish act but you specifically implied he was not sensible.
No words put in any ones mouth.”

“by ek_it's_chilly - you're putting words in my mouth - I never said "foolish" - and I've already said the perpertrators of this crime should be prosecuted. I live on Beverley Road and I know that it would be stupid to get cash out in that area at midnight. That is my only point. I don't defend the actions of the criminals.”
