Man threatened with crowbar in Snaith burglary

A burglar threatened a man with a crowbar following a burglary at a house in Snaith, near Goole.

The burglar used a plant plot to smash a kitchen window to gain access to the property on Gowdall Lane, between 11.50am and 1.45pm on Monday, March 18.

The offender went through the house searching for items to steal, before he was disturbed by the owners returning home.

The man ran down the stairs, barged past the woman and ran out of the house onto the front driveway where he brandished the crowbar at the woman's partner before making his escape and getting into an old shaped Vauxhall Astra that was parked outside.

The burglar is described as a white man, aged mid 20s, approximately 6ft tall, clean shaven, and with a broad build.

He is thought to have made off empty handed.
