Robbers wearing black balaclavas raided a Beverley shop as a security van delivered cash this morning (Tuesday).

Police said three men were involved in the robbery at a shop in Samman Road, on the Swinemoor Estate, shortly before 8.45am.

They took two cartridges of cash and an amount of money from a safe. However, at this time officers are unable to confirm how much money has been stolen.

The robbers made their getaway in a car believed to be a white Audi.
