Meeting to discuss library takeover
WEST HULL: A community meeting has been set up by Boothferry ward councillors to try to prevent the closure of Anlaby Park Library by Hull City Council.
It will be held in the library on Monday, March 18, at 6pm.

The aim is to build a team of people to take over and run it.
Councillor Karen Woods said: "We have called this meeting to see if the community would like to take over the running of Anlaby Park Library.

Boothferry ward councillors will be meeting council leader Steve Brady and senior officers in the coming weeks to discuss plans for a community takeover.
Anlaby Park Library is currently scheduled for closure on Thursday, March 28.

“I do hope a register is taken with names and address to ensure people are taxpayers from Hull and not from the East Riding. Good luck with the community running this facility I hope it works out but local Councillors need to ensure the safety of the public running this building and its reliability .”
