Hull City striker Aaron Mclean has attracted interest from Millwall, Steve Bruce says.

Mclean, who signed from Peterborough in a 1.3m move in January 2011, has rarely replicated his prolific form at London Road - despite his impressive work ethic.

Aaron Mclean has struggled to command a starting place up front.

The 29-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the KC and may welcome a chance of first-team football.

Meanwhile, Bruce says Cameron Stewart, who has returned from a spell at Burnley, will also be allowed out on loan again.

“I would prefer a swop for Darious Henderson ... Even Mclean plus 500k .. Henderson would get us goals”

“Mclean is the type of player who shines in a partnership with a goal poacher. At Peterboro,he was the hod carrier while Mackail Smith laid the bricks and unfortunately, upto now,we dont have a goal poacher to benefit from his graft.I,m surprised Brighton hav,nt moved for him to renew their partnership, but good luck to the lad wherever he ends up.As for Cameron Stewart, another one with ego problems who thought he was better than he is and is now paying the price.Unfortunately, his bad injury at Ipswich did him no favours and maybe a stint in the lower leagues, where fancy dans are soon put in their place, will hopefully get his head right and rekindle his career, because age is on his side and he does have ability.”

“Billy - surely he can't be that happy when he is not playing. I agree - good luck to him. For whatever reason it hasn't worked out for him at HCAFC. He may just not be good enough for the Championship. Hard worker though.”

“I don't disgree,Maccy, but you can't create the kind of team spirit we seem to have without guys who contribute to the happiness of the squad,on and off the field. He seems to have been a positive and mature presence, good luck to him.”

“It's what you do on the pitch that counts Billy & sadly Mclean hasn't lived up to expectations.
We haven't the resources to carry passengers if we're to get back in the Premier League.
I thought Cameron Stewart might end up at Grimsby but as they're doing alright now I'd imagine he wouldn't be good enough for even them now, maybe North Ferriby are his level now?
Another player who should be got rid of quickly & off the payroll.”

“Shame if Mclean goes,he seems to have been a great presence in the dressing room,he deserves to have been part of a drive to the Premier League, but it must be tough for him being a spectator when we know that, deep down, there are tons of goals in him, even if not at Championship level.A good man,and a fine professional.”
