BEVERLEY Youth Minister Lee Kirkby has now left the Minster to take up a new job at St Michael le Belfrey church in York.

His leaving party last weekend followed 14 years at Beverley Minster where he started as a chorister, aged 11.

Mr Kirkby said he would be sad to leave but was looking forward to a new challenge.

Minster vicar Reverend Jeremy Fletcher paid tribute to the 25-year-old and said he would be "hard to replace" at the Beverley church.
