Mobile skate park coming to East Yorkshire town
EAST YORKSHIRE: A free mobile skate park is coming to Howden for three taster sessions.
It will be set up in the car park next to the Co-op supermarket off Hailgate on Thursdays, March 28, April 4 and April 11.
The skate park, being set up by the Howden Riders Charity together with Howden Town Council, will be open to youngsters from 4.30pm to 7.30pm each day.
Hundreds of people in the town have signed petitions to obtain a permanently built skate park in the town.

The charity wants youngsters aged six to nine to use the facility from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, those aged ten to 13 to use it from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, and youngsters aged 13-plus to use it from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Through funding Howden Riders has received from the NHS Small Grants Fund, the charity has also arranged for pupils at Howden Junior School to use this facility for a full day in March.
The school is planning a number of activities to increase pupils' health and wellbeing, as well as wheeled sports skills.
