Nationwide offers lower rates for green clients
NATIONWIDE Building Society is offering a new loan to help existing mort- gage clients become more eco-friendly.
Green Additional Borrowing allows customers to borrow between £5,000 and £20,000 to make non-structural, energy-efficient home improvements with a 0.5 per cent rate reduction on Nation- wide's existing range of two-year fixed and tracker further advance rates.
As a result of this discount, rates will be available from 2.29 per cent to a maximum LTV of 85 per cent.
Improvements must be chosen from a list of acceptable measures, including air source heat pumps, double glazing, cavity wall insulation, floor insulation, loft insulation and draught-proofing.
